Brian Fisher is a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant with more than six years of experience in psychiatric care. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Brian has a strong clinical interest in treatment-resistant depression, neuromodulation, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and emerging approaches in psychiatry. He is especially drawn to areas of care that offer renewed hope for patients who have not found adequate relief through traditional treatment alone.

Known for forming strong, trusting relationships with his patients, Brian brings a thoughtful and relational approach to psychiatric care. He values listening closely, understanding each patient’s unique story, and working collaboratively to support meaningful progress over time.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys traveling with his fiancée and experiencing new cultures, with the long-term goal of visiting every U.S. national park. Closer to home, they love exploring North Carolina's mountains and beaches, attending Broadway productions and comedy shows, cheering on the Durham Bulls and Carolina Hurricanes, and discovering new restaurants as self-proclaimed foodies. Brian also enjoys spending time outdoors and at home with his two Maine Coon cats, Simba and Leo.

Brian is excited to join the team at Joyful Minds Psychiatry, where he looks forward to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping individuals navigate their mental health journey with confidence and support.
