Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
Is your mental health holding you back from living a joyful life?
At Joyful Minds Psychiatry, our psychiatric evaluation is the first step toward personalized, holistic care. During your initial 60-90 minute appointment, we’ll explore your concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, past treatments, and current goals. This thorough evaluation helps us understand your unique situation and guides our diagnostic assessment and treatment recommendations. These appointments are held in-person at our Cary, NC location.
In some cases, more than one consultation may be necessary to best understand your needs. By the end of the initial consultation period, we’ll mutually decide whether to proceed with a tailored treatment plan. Please note that the initial consultation does not guarantee specific medications, treatments, or documentation. Controlled substances and certain paperwork, such as disability forms, will not be provided during this first visit.
We specialize in evaluating and treating conditions like Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, PTSD, and OCD. Our approach combines medication management with psychotherapy and holistic wellness strategies to help you rediscover joy and balance in your life.
Medication Management
Ready to take the next step toward a joyful, balanced life?
After your psychiatric evaluation at Joyful Minds Psychiatry, if we decide to move forward with treatment, you’ll begin regular follow-up appointments called, “medication management”. These 20-30 minute sessions ensure your treatment is effective and tailored to your needs. We’ll review your medication, make adjustments as needed, and discuss any benefits or side effects. Initially, appointments may be every 2-4 weeks, eventually spacing out to every 2-4 months as appropriate.
After each appointment, we’ll send you a personalized visit summary, including a recap of your discussion, action items, and any medication changes. This helps both you and your clinician stay on track and monitor progress effectively.
While medications are often part of your treatment, they’re not the only focus. Our goal is to use the minimum necessary, supporting your overall well-being through our holistic approach.
